About how long does it take to get a green card after marrying a citizen? any advice?

Me and my husband have been together for about 7 years we got marrie 2 years ago and had a son he is now 2. We just sent in his application before the july deadline and i was wondering if anyone knew about how long the process takes and if they are still deporting them or do they have some type of pardon. This whole process just sounds so scarry. ANY advice would be helpful!About how long does it take to get a green card after marrying a citizen? any advice?
Me and my wife have been going through the process for about 5 yrs now. We just got our interview in Juarez. It is a long and tedious wait. It also does make a huge difference on how he actually entered the country. My best advice is to be patient and start sending letters out to your congressmen because there is lots of hate filled people out there who have nothing better to do than tear family's apart and they have made it there full time job to stop any sort of compromise to the current situation.About how long does it take to get a green card after marrying a citizen? any advice?
If he applied for a greencard based on marriage he should be approved within two years after you were married but he was be getting a conditional green card then two years later he can apply for a permanent green card but would have to get it renewed every ten years. My husband and I have been married almost three years and we applied for his green card about year ago and we still have not been interviewed for it but we have gotten a notice that it's being processed. Immigration is a long process and his lawyer told us that the USCIS office is so behind on cases and that it could be another six months to a year before we get interviewed.

It's Possible to adjust his status if he came here legally aka just overstay his visa!!!





if he came here without a visa. he need go back to his country of origin and wait for you to re-apply to bring him here.
Getting married does not guarantee you a green card. If he is caught out and about...he can be deported even with his application in the system.
